Trusted, careful administration of estates.

Support with administering estates — careful, personal and from A to Z.

Estates and charities

More and more people choose to leave their estate to charity. After death, that estate must be carefully administered — and this is often where we come in.

Also specialised in

Besides the full administration of an estate, we also take care of matters that call for specialist knowledge.

Life insurance

We make sure that any outstanding life insurance policies are paid out correctly and promptly.

Art & antiques

We appraise valuable art and antiques ourselves, calling in specialists where needed, and guide the sale or auction process.

Gold & silver

We also catalogue coins, jewellery and other collections and turn them into value.

House clearance

We handle the clearance of a home ourselves, working with trusted partners. We never simply throw things away. Items are given a second life wherever possible.

Tailored to each estate

Every estate is unique and calls for a tailored approach. How it is administered depends on several factors.

  • Is there an owner-occupied home or a rented one?
  • Is there a (holiday) home abroad?
  • Are there other heirs?
  • Are there assets we don't yet know about?

Estate inventory and acceptance under benefit of inventory

To build a clear picture of the estate, we map out all the deceased's assets and debts in a formal inventory. Based on this inventory, the heir can decide whether to accept the estate under benefit of inventory — limiting their liability to the estate's assets.

Administering the estate

When administering estates, we take on the following tasks, always guided by the wishes of the deceased.

  • Paying outstanding bills and any debts.
  • Arranging and paying for the funeral, where needed.
  • Ending the tenancy, selling a property and clearing the home's contents, including sale or auction.
  • Handling the administration, including cancelling ongoing subscriptions.
  • Filing the final tax returns.

In short, we take care of the entire administration of the estate, from A to Z.

How long it takes

One to eighteen months

Administering an estate can take a considerable amount of time — usually between one year and eighteen months.

About us

That's exactly why we complement each other so well: Jeroen brings his knowledge of valuation, art, antiques and the legal side; Emil brings his talent for organising and keeping the overview, both without ever losing sight of the human side.

Jeroen van Dijke

Jeroen van Dijke

Jeroen studied notarial law at the University of Amsterdam and worked for many years as a candidate civil-law notary, where the careful administration of estates became his particular focus. In recent years he worked as a relationship manager at the Dutch Animal Welfare Society, where he was involved in selling valuable estate items, among other things. Combining the personal with the professional, and standing by the bereaved with advice and support — that's what makes this work so rewarding for him.

Emil Schröder

Emil Schröder

Emil has a background as a graphic designer and senior project manager, and is used to guiding, monitoring and seeing complex projects through to the last detail. In estate administration, that practical approach comes together with his genuine care for people: he keeps an overview and sorts out what needs sorting, with respect for the wishes of the person who has passed away. For him, administering an estate carefully means making sure everything runs smoothly and doing right by the person it is ultimately about. For the legal side, he works closely with Jeroen.

Bas, the office dog

Bas

Our office dog: an American Bully who guards the fort and keeps spirits up around the office. Ask who's in charge, and the answer is probably: him.
